Provincial Nominee British Columbia

British Columbia is Canada’s westernmost province, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, Alberta and the Rocky Mountains to the east. Its population of about 5,000,000 is significantly concentrated in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, and around the capital city of Victoria on Vancouver Island. This province attract Immigrant by different Immigration program.

STUDENT

British Columbia’s universities and colleges have a wide range of programs for students. Applicants can work part-time during their studies and may be eligible for work permits for three years after graduation, depending on their program of studies.

SPONSORSHIP

Canadian citizens or permanent residents at least 18 years of age can be eligible to sponsor their spouses, common-law partners, dependent or adopted children younger up to the age of 22, or parents and grandparents to become permanent residents and live and work in Canada.

PROVINCIAL NOMINEE

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) offers qualified skilled workers, professionals and managers intending to settle in British Columbia the opportunity contribute their education, skills, training and experience to the province and to be nominated by British Columbia to apply for permanent residency in Canada.  The BCPNP offers two sub-streams:

Express Entry British Columbia:

Qualified applicants with skills and experience targeted by British Columbia may receive expedited processing of BCPNP and permanent residence applications by following streams.

Skills Immigration Stream:

A.Skilled Worker Category:

Qualified applicants with post-secondary education and work experience

B.Healthcare Professional Category:

Qualified applicants with education and experience in the healthcare sector

International Post-Graduate Category:
  1. Qualified applicants with degrees or diplomas from Canadian post-secondary institutions
International Graduate Category:
  1. Qualified applicants with master’s or doctoral degrees from British Columbia post-secondary institutions
ENTREPRENEUR

British Columbia offers two categories under the BCPNP for entrepreneurs, managers, and business owners willing to come to British Columbia to invest in the province:

  1. Entrepreneur Immigration Category:

Qualified investors and entrepreneurs with at least CAN $600,000 net worth intending to start or purchase an acceptable business in British Columbia with at least $ 200,000.

  1. Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot:

Qualified investors and entrepreneurs with at CAN $300,000 net worth intending to start a new business in smaller communities in British Columbia with at least $ 100,000.
